MISSION
The All India Transporters Welfare
Association (AITWA) shall unite the Indian
Road Transport Industry (Cargo/Logistics) in
order to run the wheels of Indian Economy
more efficiently by providing world-class
services, financial competencies, good
governance, compititiveness and welfare of
its workforce. We believe in SHE (Safety,

GOALS |

To start
with an anti AIDS awarness
campaign-specially at highways which
accounts for 22%HIV of total in India.

To
provide insurance cover against road
accidents to the operational staff of the
truck, at a nominal premium.

To stop
child labour (0%Child Labour in the Road
Transport Industry).
-
To
provide education to the children of
drivers/cleaners.
-
To
provide relief and transport relief
materials free of cost to the people in
the event of Natural calamities.

To
ensure that the voice and concern of AITWA
for the welfare of its members are taken
note of by the policy makers.

strengthen the network of relationship in
government, civil authorities, customers
and public at large.s

The IRU, through its national associations,
represents the entire road transport
industry world-wide. It speaks for the
operators of coaches, taxis and trucks, from
large transport fleets to driver-owners. In
all international bodies that make decisions
affecting road transport, the IRU acts as
the industry's advocate. By working for the
highest professional standards, the IRU
improves the safety record and environmental
performance of road transport and ensures
the mobility of people and goods. Among its
practical services to the industry, the IRU
is international guarantor of the TIR carnet
system under which trucks are sealed by
customs upon departure and can cross several
borders without further checks until they
reach their destinations. |

vehicles are safe, clean, efficient, and
economical in fuel consumption;

Encourages sound fleet management, strict
vehicle maintenance and good working
conditions for drivers;

of procedures affecting road transport;

international transport and trade.
